The story began in 2015, in a small rental apartment in Auckland, where our founder Kuffy wanted to create a space that felt warm, creative and comfortable - a home that inspired joy.
We set out to solve a simple but deeply frustrating problem: shopping for stylish, quality furniture in New Zealand felt like choosing between two options - something painfully generic, or something gorgeous but wildly overpriced.
We thought: Surely it doesn’t have to be this hard? We wanted designs that sparked joy, pieces that felt like us - without having to compromise on quality, or empty our wallets. But again and again, we came up short.
Then one day, after importing a piece we couldn’t find locally, our friends came over and asked, “Where did you get that? I want one too!” That was our aha moment. We weren’t the only ones feeling this way. That mix of frustration and longing for something better wasn’t just ours - it was a shared experience.
So that's how the journey of Urban Sales began.
